minikube CLI reference

ModularPipelines.Minikube provides strongly typed access to the minikube CLI.

Executable prerequisite

This package does not install the minikube executable. Install it separately and ensure minikube is available on PATH.

Follow the executable's official documentation for installation instructions.

Package installation

dotnet add package ModularPipelines.Minikube

Resolve the service with context.Tools.Minikube. Projects using C# 13 or another .NET language can use context.Tools.Get<ModularPipelines.Minikube.Services.IMinikube>() instead.

Module example

Resolve the service in a module, then select a command from the table below. A runnable example is omitted when no command has complete safety metadata:

Global options

Global options are rendered before the selected subcommand.

--alsologtostderr	Alsologtostderr	All editions	log to standard error as well as files (no effect when -logtostderr=true)
--alsologtostderrthreshold	Alsologtostderrthreshold	All editions	logs at or above this threshold go to stderr when -alsologtostderr=true (no effect when -logtostderr=true)
--bootstrapper	Bootstrapper	All editions	The name of the cluster bootstrapper that will set up the Kubernetes cluster.
--legacy_stderr_threshold_behavior	LegacyStderrThresholdBehavior	All editions	If true, stderrthreshold is ignored when logtostderr=true (legacy behavior). If false, stderrthreshold is honored even when logtostderr=true
--logtostderr	Logtostderr	All editions	log to standard error instead of files
--log_backtrace_at	LogBacktraceAt	All editions	when logging hits line file:N, emit a stack trace
--log_dir	LogDir	All editions	If non-empty, write log files in this directory (no effect when -logtostderr=true)
--log_file	LogFile	All editions	If non-empty, use this log file (no effect when -logtostderr=true)
--log_file_max_size	LogFileMaxSize	All editions	Defines the maximum size a log file can grow to (no effect when -logtostderr=true). Unit is megabytes. If the value is 0, the maximum file size is unlimited.
--one_output	OneOutput	All editions	If true, only write logs to their native severity level (vs also writing to each lower severity level; no effect when -logtostderr=true)
--profile	Profile	All editions	The name of the minikube VM being used. This can be set to allow having multiple instances of minikube independently.
--rootless	Rootless	All editions	Force to use rootless driver (docker and podman driver only)
--skip-audit	SkipAudit	All editions	Skip recording the current command in the audit logs.
--skip_headers	SkipHeaders	All editions	If true, avoid header prefixes in the log messages
--skip_log_headers	SkipLogHeaders	All editions	If true, avoid headers when opening log files (no effect when -logtostderr=true)
--stderrthreshold	Stderrthreshold	All editions	logs at or above this threshold go to stderr when writing to files and stderr (no effect when -logtostderr=true or -alsologtostderr=true unless -legacy_stderr_threshold_behavior=false)
--user	User	All editions	Specifies the user executing the operation. Useful for auditing operations executed by 3rd party tools. Defaults to the operating system username.
--v	V	All editions	number for the log level verbosity
--vmodule	Vmodule	All editions	comma-separated list of pattern=N settings for file-filtered logging
